Real Sportive Hold Dwarfs

Cape Coast Ebusua Dwarfs played a determined game to hold Tema Real Sportive to a 1-1 drawn game in their GT Premier League match at the Tema Sports Stadium.

It was Dwarfs who after the kick-off marshalled their attack to draw first blood by scoring the opening goal in the second minute through Douglas Mustapha who headed home a well taken corner-kick by Ernest Adu.

Sportive who were undaunted by the early goal rallied together to level up the scores through Umar Gariba in the 35th minute after a beautiful combination of their attackers led by their goal poacher Mark Adu Amofa.

In the 58th minute, Dwarfs' Kobena De-Heer managed to put the ball inside the net but his effort was ruled off-side. The decision held up play for some few minutes as officials of Dwarfs protested against the rule of Referee Stephen Oduro from Kumasi of what they considered to be a beautiful goal.

After sanity prevail for play to resume, Dwarfs substituted Musah Labaran for Ekow Ghansah while Sportive also brought in Eric Mensah for Mark Adu Amofa but both teams could not score Due to poor finishing and erratic shooting by their attackers to end the game one all.

At Swedru, Gomoa Fetteh Feyenoord Soccer Academy and Kpando Hearts of Lions played a 1-1 draw, with both goals coming in the first half from the boots of Lions players.

Dan Ogbeche made hay for Heart of Lions when he tapped in from close range beyond the reach of goalkeeper Philemon McCarthy during a melee, which came about in the box, as a result of a second consecutive corner kick from the right.

After the goal, the game took a new turn with the homers mounting incessant pressure on their visitors, looking for the leveller. As a result of the excessive load of work, Lions' defender Yaw Nyarko sliced the ball into his own net in the 36th minute, to bring the game to parity as he attempted a desperate clearance.

In the second half the two teams played the game tamely and even though they created some chances, they both failed to utilise them till referee R.M. Kwaning whistled for the end of the match.
