The Confederation of African Football have introduced a registration fee of USD$25,000 for teams taking part in next year's three African club competitions, officials said. CAF said the move was designed to centralise the travel arrangements for referees. Previously it was the responsibility of the host association to pay the travel costs of referees but often games were postponed because tickets forwarded to match officials were late in arriving. CAF will now take over all travel arrangements and ticketing for match officials.
