Communications director of the Ghana Football Association Ibrahim Sannie Daara has charged the Ministry of Youth and Sports to amicably solve issues relating to Black Stars bonuses ahead of the world cup qualifiers.

In a recent interview, the Sports Minister says he doesn’t understand why Black Stars players are paid winning bonuses during qualification for AFCON and the World Cup as well as being bought business class tickets for national team matches.

The minister after assuming office, reduced the Black Stars match winning bonus from $10,000 to $8,000 and paid the players in Ghana Cedis instead of dollars.

In responds to the minister’s decision to quash the Black Stars qualification bonuses, Sannie revealed Ghana can secure world cup qualification if the minister descends to the GFA’s level to amicably solve the bonus issues before the qualifiers begin.

“It’s sad how people keep talking negatively about the Black Stars bonuses on radio every day. The minister since assuming office has been attacking personalities including that of the players which will cause disaffection among the fans towards the team,” Sannie Darra told Asempa FM.

“The bonus issues must be solved to ensure the world cup qualification” he added.

Ghana has been paired in Group E of the 2018 world cup qualifiers with Egypt, Uganda and Congo.

The Black Stars will begin the qualifiers on November 10 away to Uganda.
