Accra (Greater Accra) 19 Jan., Accra Hearts of Oak played a great game and beat visiting King Faisal 4-2 in their seventh-week ABC Golden Lager Premier Football League match played at the Accra Sports Stadium today. The man who made things unpleasant for Faisal was inside right Yaw Sekyi, He netted thrice within 24 minutes after kick off. But for erractic shooting upfront, coupled with over confidence on the part of Hearts, Faisal would have conceded at least six goals in the first half. Sekyi set the ball rolling when he converted a sport kick in the 15th minute after top Marksman Desmond Amoah was brought down in Faisal's Penalty area by Central Defender Kingsley Afful. Sekyi, who was at his beat, beat an off side trap and in the same manner, chipped the ball over Suraju for his third personal goal in the 24th minute. Hearts' right full back Amankwa Mireku, who complained of dizziness was rested for Ben Adjei to take his place in the 34th minute but the scoreline remained the same till the end of the first half. Faisal started the second half very strongly and came close in the 54th minute but inside left J.B. Dankwa shot wide with only Hearts' Goalkeeper Janes Nanor to beat. Dankwa, however, atoned for his earlier miss when he scored from a goal-mouth melee in the 60th minute for Faisal's first goal. The game became a ding-dong affair until the 74th minute when left winger Robert Saba connected home an indirect freekick in Faisal "18" for Hearts' fourth goal. Hearts', from then on looked satisfied with the scoreline and never made any effort to score again but undaunted Faisal fought hard and pulled a goal back through left winger Nuru Ahmed on the stroke of full time.
