Kumasi Asante Kotoko on Tuesday held a crunch meeting to decided the fate of embattled coach Kjetil Zachariasen.

The Norwegian in the eyes of Kotoko is only a 'dead ma walking' as the only reason preventing the club from officially announcing his exit is the severance package he is demanding.

Kotoko are clear in their minds that they made a mistake appointing the underwhelming Norwegian trainer and want to part with hims following the club's below par performance especially in the Africa inter club competitions.

Our sources within the club tells us that the Norwegian is demanding an exorbitant severance package of $12,000 whiles the club are only ready and willing to pay $5,000.

After both parties failed to agree a fee, the coach proposed they pay him $10,000 so that he can leave their club in peace but Kotoko vehemently disagreed as they consider the amount to be too steep.

The Kumasi based club are unwillingly to pay the Norwegian more than $5,000 as his severance package but he is determined to collect what his due him since he signed a two year contract and has only served four months out of that contract.

Further meetings will be held later today to try and find solutions to the impasse so the Norwegian can leave.

Kjetil Zachariassen observed seven games as coach during his Kotoko tenure, won three and lost four.

The Norwegian will be the second coach to be sacked from Kotoko in five months after C.K Akonnor was sacked late July some nine months into a three year contract.

C.K Akonnor too has won a wrongful dismissal case against Kotoko so they must pay him his severance package too.

So it appears the revolving door policy at Kotoko on coaches is coming back to haunt them.
