Kumasi Asante Kotoko striker Yacouba Sougne could not feature in his side’s 1-0 win over Bechem United due to ill health.
Footballmadeinghana.com can reveal that the Burkinabe import who scored against Karela in his second game of the season fainted at the team’s hotel prior to their game against Bechem United when they were having lunch.
Yacouba was in contention to start the game but had to be rushed to hospital for treatment and his place was taken by Yakubu Mohammed.
The player is said to have regained consciousness and is doing well.
Sougne Yacouba has emerged as a standout player for Kotoko in the last couple of weeks and looks like a real steal for Kotoko.
The Burkinabe was impressive for the Porcupine Warriors when he made his debut in the Super Clash against Hearts of Oak two weeks ago.
Kotoko will hope he is back to full fitness as they push to make an impact in the league this season.
