Aduana Stars attacking midfielder, Richard Mpong has made a staunch revelation claiming he will not be playing in the Ghana Premier League after the end of the 2015-16 league campaign.
The 26-year-old, who joined the Dormaa based club this season after a disastrous season with the Porcupine Warriors, wants to clinch the League title with the ‘Ogya lads’ before leaving the club.
Speaking to Koforidua-based Kingdom 101.9fm with Jones Ofosu(JayJay) on the second half Sports show, the former Asante Kotoko, and Medeama SC speedster said he will be leaving the shores of Ghana at the end of league season to seek for greener pastures abroad.
”Our Coach Cioba Aristica has guided us very well throughout the season with discipline, and hard work. The team was not getting the needed results when he came in but he has done well in turning things around.
“Motivation from the owner of the club Nana Agyemang Badu has brought us this far in our ambition to win the Ghana Premier League; he has helped us financially and spiritually since I joined the club.
“We are currently preparing for tomorrow’s game against Wa All Stars, if we can win the league it depends on that match and we must do everything possible to win the game in Wa.
“I won’t play in the Ghana Premier League again; I’m planning to travel abroad after this season. I have one-year left on my contract.”
Aduana Stars are on top of the Premier League log with 48 points same us second placed Wa All Stars and both clubs will lock horns in the match-day-29 fixture of the Ghana Premier League at the Malik Jabir Sports stadium in Wa.
