As part of the Ghana Olympic Committee’s preparation towards the Rio 2016 Olympic Games, Ghana’s Chef de Mission, Chris Essilfie, will be attending the ‘Rio 2016 Chefs de Mission Seminar'.
The seminar will take place at the Windsor Barra hotel in Rio and will start today, Monday, August 17 and end on Friday, August 21, 2016.
The seminar will among other things discuss the following; accommodation, accreditation, arrivals & departures, bank accounts & finance, custom & freight forwarding and doping control.
Other areas to be discussed are; medical services, hospitality houses, rate card & spectrum, sport entries, ticketing as well as transport.
The Ghana Olympic Committee appointed Chris Essilfie as its Chef de Mission for the 2016 Rio Olympic Games earlier this year.
Essilfie, Ghana’s Chef de Mission at the 2014 Commonwealth Games in Glasgow, is credited with organising one of the country’s most successful pre-Games camps in South Ayrshire, Scotland.
