Ronaldo set to lead Ghana

Looking very hungry and ready to roar, an 18year Ghanaian striking wonder kid, says he is ready to solve our striking problems. This news could not have come at a better time for Ghana.For, this innocent, looking Lad, the early adoption of the tough professional attitude can only guide him not to fizzle out of stardom so soon.

Having left Ghana only in September 2001,lt scoring sensation Mohammed Gado, did not know, the door of success could be opened to him so early in his youthful career. Nick named Ronaldo, by one of the most travelled coaches (J.E. Sarpong) back in Ghana. Gado has adapted quickly to the tough German League system.

His quality as a fox was readily in evidence once he touched the German soil. In his first season, Gado scored 7 goals, had a stunning second season with 13 goals and currently ranks at par on top of the goalking race, having scored 9 goals r.

Speaking to Ghanaweb, after playing for Borussia Monchengladbach Gado, said “my ambition is to play good, make the goals and get promoted into the professional side. On the few occasions that I have been given the chance at the senior level, I have shown what I am capable of” I am now ready for the first bundesliga” he said.

Gado, who looked well trimmed and sharp said he was looking forward to playing his part to ensure the national Olympic team of Ghana, the Black Meteors, qualify for the Athens 2004 games.

For lovers of history, Mohammed Gado, a.k.a. Ronaldo, because of his punitive nature in the penalty box, commenced his juvenile career in Ghana playing for Liverpool, Ajax and Kingdoko football clubs respectively.

The baby assassin was drafted into the national Juvenile side, the Black Starlets briefly, then to division one campaigners Tudu Mighty Jets. finally, he joined permier league side, Accra Great Olympics before joining the flight to look for stardom.

Ghanaweb has just learnt that Mohammed Gado is currently in camp with the amateur side of Moenchegladbach in Portugal preparing for the resumption of the league.

The signs are that he will not play for the Juvenile side anymore
