Right to Dream Academy's U-15 team beat Manchester United and Omiya Ardija to place an impressive 9th position overall at the just ended World Finals of the Manchester Premier Cup, in Manchester England.

The U-15’s finished third in Group B after losing 0:2 to AC Milan in their last group game, having earlier started their campaign on a blistering note, beating Shandong Luneng 9:0, drawing 1:1 with Croatian side Dynamo Zagreb, and then drawing 0:0 with Boca Juniors later.

Despite missing out on a place in the knockout stages, Umar Kenya's boys showed great character in the placement matches to beat host club, Manchester United 3:0 before defeating Japanese side Omiya Ardija 1:0 to gain a spot within the top ten.

RtD’s group B rivals, Dinamo Zagreb and AC Milan, eventually qualified for the finals of the tournament with Dinamo beating the Italian giants 2:1 at Old Trafford's 'Theatre of Dreams' to become 2013 Manchester United Premier Cup Champions of the World.

Meanwhile, Africa’s other representative at the tournament South Africa’s Rosina Sedibane took the 19th position after beating Onehunga Sports from New Zealand 2:0.

RtD still holds the record as the most successful African Under-15 football team in recent years, by achieving four top eight finishes in the Premier Cup. Over 8,000 teams participated in the qualifiers for the World Finals of the Manchester Premier Cup with only 20 teams securing qualification to the finals.
