Rumour: Yartey, Opare, Boateng land Black Stars call ups

Footy-ghana.com investigations reveal that former Black Satellites winger Ishmael Yartey has received a call up to the Black Stars ahead of the 2014 World Cup qualifiers against Lesotho and Zambia next month.
According to our sources, Ghana head coach Kwasi Appiah called up Yartey because of his impressive displays for Swiss top flight side Servette.
Footy-ghana.com can also confirm that Standard Liege defender Daniel Opare has also been named in a yet-to-be-officially released squad for the double header, as had Berekum Chelsea full back Richard Kissi Boateng and Asante Kotoko right back Yaw Frimpong.
Footy-ghana.com sources also reveal that AC Milan’s Sulley Muntari, Marseille’s Jordan Ayew and Rennes center back John Boye have been included in the squad whilst local talents Emmanuel Baffour of New Edubiase United, Richard Mpong of Medeama SC and Dwarfs defender Rashid Sumaila.
Following Asamoah Gyan’s decision to return from temporary international retirement, the Al Ain striker has also been included in the squad.
Footy-ghana.com understands that the Ghana Football Association will release the full official list later, due to fears over injuries to some of the called up players.
