Accra, July 24, GNA - A rusty Accra Hearts of Oaks side relinquished a 59th minute Lawrence Adjah Tetteh's lead to give visiting Sekondi Hasaacas a point in their premiership duel at the Ohene Djan Sports Stadium in Accra on Sunday.
The Phobians who played a disjointed game was stunned by an 80th minute equalizer from substitute Awudu Alhassan at a time all looked set for a solitary win which would have solidified their lead on the league table.
Alhassan who came in for George Ankamah towered above his markers to pull his side even with a free header, which sent the stadium dead silent.
Both teams sold out an uninspiring display in a game that neither side managed to impose itself on play.
With the defending league champions creating some decent chances, it was skipper Tetteh who shot his side ahead when he finished off a fine move from substitute Joe Louis with a half volley, a lead they held on to till only ten minutes left for play.
On a day that lack of telepathic understanding proved elusive for Hearts, the attacking machinery led by Prince Tagoe, wobbled any time they approached the final quarter of the turf with Lawrence Adjei as the worse culprit.
Hasaacas themselves were no better as they laboured to create chances with their clearest chance coming in the first half but unmarked Awudu Musah missed the opportunity with inspirational Ben Moses-Andoh masterminding the effort.
