SDA Youth Games end at Obuasi

Obuasi, April 6, GNA - A one-day inter-zonal youth games organised by the Obuasi West District of the Seventh-Day Adventist (SDA) Church has ended at Obuasi.

Youth from 15 surrounding towns and villages of the Church who were divided into three zones, competed in soccer, volley and indoor games. Obuasi zone won in all the disciplines and drew 1 - 1 with Fenaso zone in the soccer finals.

Addressing the participants at the end of the games, Pastor Francis Tuffour, Obuasi district pastor of the SDA Church urged the youth in the area to value their health by engaging in sporting activities to keep them in shape.

He advised the participants to eschew negative tendencies such as pre-marital sex, smoking and alcoholism and other anti-social habits since such behaviours could ruin their healthy growth. Pastor Tuffour commended the youth for the excellent performance at the games and encouraged them to always combine their spiritual teachings with such exercise to ensure their total transformation to life.
