A marketing company (name withheld) in conjunction with the Ghana Football Association (GFA) is spearheading the race to secure an agreement with Societel Ghana Bank (SG-SSB) as headline sponsors of of the Ghana Premier League (GPL).
Sportscrusader.com understands that the marketing met with highly ranked officials of the Ghana FA about a week ago to be given the mandate to lead in the race to secure a sponsor for the GPL, and mentioned SG-SSB as the FA’s potential clients.
It is believed that the FA officials gave them the greenlight to spearhead the search, though other marketing companies are also on the market sniffing for interested corporate brands to come on board.
Sportscrusader.com highly placed sources within the FA says they are working tirelessly to secure a sponsor, and are confident of finding one soon.
It is unclear how soon the FA will make a sponsor available before the second round of the 2015-16 GPL season kicks off on June 25.
