SIC Insurance and Emirates Airlines to partner Bahmed Travel

The leading insurance company in Ghana, SIC Insurance Company has joined Emirates Airlines to support Bahmed Travel and Tours in their venture to take football fans to Brazil to watch the 2014 FIFA World Cup.

SIC Insurance has agreed to provide travel insurance for all customers of Bahmed travel and Tours who will be on board the luxurious Emirates Airlines for the flight to Brazil’s city Fortaleza where the Black Stars will play against Germany.

Bernice Boachie Business Development Manager of SIC Insurance Company told yours truly they are offering the package because they know of the track record of Bahmed Travel and Tours as a very reliable agency who has done it before and can do it again and better.

She said it is very ideal and safe that travelers take travel insurance before undertaking any journey outside Ghana and SIC Insurance is the best place to go.

“We want everybody to travel and return home safely” she expressed. Launching the Bahmed Brazil 2014 World Cup package, Alhaji Bandoh who has led fans to watch two previous FIFA World Cup tournaments in Germany in 2006 and South Africa in 2010 as well as the historic friendly match between England and Ghana in Wembley in 2011 said he hopes to improve upon their management which were without major problems. According to Alhaji Bandoh, the World Cup in Brazil would be very special, so he has lined up a wonderful package that would see Emirates Airlines providing the plane for the chartered flight and SIC Insurance Limited offering the travel insurance for all who want to be part of the package.

He noted that Brazil has a vast land and the distances between match venues would be solved by Emirates Airlines as he has also personally gone to Brazil to work out hotel accommodation, transportation and other tourism incentives for fans.

Alhaji Bandoh expressed that Bahmed Travel and Tours is very reliable, put in all safety measures to make fans comfortable and has the reputation as one of the best travel and tour operators in Africa with an unblemish record.

He explained the three categories of packages for fans as Bronze costing $6,100, whilst the Silver and Gold cost $10,000 with different incentives in accomodation, breakfast and transportation. “We have secured over 1,700 rooms for fans in Fortaleza and we will fly with Emirates Airlines to other match venues or go with buses where the distance is not all that long for fans to enjoy the tourism sites in Brazil” he told your truly.

Honourable Antwi Bosiako, the Deputy Minister for Employment and Social Welfare who was at the event thanked the President H.E. John Mahama for ensuring that the Black Stars qualified to the world football fiesta and prayed that the fans who would go to represent Ghana as ambassadors would comport themselves proving that they come from a hospitable nation.
