SV Hamburg have been handed a boost following the return of Ghanaian duo Jan Gyamerah and Gideon Jung ahead of Bundesliga II clash against SV Wehen on Saturday.

Jung suffered a major setback last year July when he damaged his cartilage during pre-season.

He returned to Hamburg for their training camp in La Manga in Spain in January before football was suspended due to the Coronavirus crisis.

But the 25-year-old suffered another injury which was feared would rule him out of the remaining games in the Bundesliga 2.

Gyamerah on the hand, had been on the treatment table with a muscle injury since December last year.

The duo have however recovered fully as they joined their teammates in training on Friday to prepare for the Saturday's encounter against SV Wehen.

It however remains to be seen whether coach Dieter Hecking will count on them for the must-win game after their 3-2 loss against Stuttgart in midweek.

Hamburg have been poor since the league was resumed, failing to win any of their three games, drawing two and losing one.

Despite the recent results, the Volksparkstadion outfit maintain their 3rd position on the standings with 46 points from 28 matches.
