Black Queens forward Mukarama Abdulai has been named the Female Footballer of the Year 2018 by the Sports Writers Association of Ghana (SWAG).
The 16-year-old captained Ghana’s Black Princess to quarter-finals of the FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup, scoring a record seven goals and winning the golden boot.
Her seven goals made her outright top scorer for Ghana in the history of the Women’s U-17 World Cup.
She also collected the Adidas Bronze Ball (third best player) behind Spain’s Claudia Pina and Nicole Perez of Mexico.
The Northen Ladies star enjoyed a stellar 2018 campaign in which she was shortlisted for CAF Women’s Best Player award.
