SWAG awards Afriyie-Ankrah

SWAG presents Award to Hon. Elvis Afriyie-Ankrah for sterling performance as Sports Minister
The Sports Writers Association of Ghana (SWAG) has presented an award to the Minister of Youth and Sports, Hon. Elvis Afriyie Ankrah at a ceremony held today at his offices.
The delegation was led by Ambassador Ray Quarcoo, Patron, Mr Ackah Anthony, President, and other Executives of SWAG.
The award was to honour the Minister for his sterling performance since his assumption of office.
Presenting the award, the President of SWAG, Mr Ackah Anthony stated that the Association had been monitoring the official duties of the Minister and was proud of his commitment to ensuring the promotion and development of sports in Ghana.
“Your drive and passion for the upliftment of sports has seen you become the best Minister in recent times and we congratulate you on your achievements.
“We wish you continue with your good works and SWAG would stand solidly with you in this regard.” Mr. Anthony said.
Receiving the award, Hon. Afriyie Ankrah said he was humbled by the honour and the recognition by SWAG of his work, adding that he would continue to work diligently to achieve greater results.
The Hon. Minister stated that though his Ministry was not above criticism, the Media should criticise constructively and see themselves as partners in the development of the nation.
