Sack Asante Kotoko board – Takyi Arhin

Controversial football administrator Takyi Arhin has taken a swipe at the Paul Adu-Gyamfi led administration of Asante Kotoko.

Arhin described the members of the Porcupine Warriors’ board as failures and so deserve the sack by owner and Spiritual Leader of the club, Otumfuo Osei II.

“This board has failed woefully with such an abysmal performance in Africa. Nana (Otumfuo) should as a matter of urgency dismiss them. This is not the Kotoko we used to know,” Arhin told GBC Radio.

Arhin, who is a former Chief Executive Officer of relegated side B.A Stars, added that even though Asante Kotoko are doing well on the domestic front, their record in Africa in recent times have been a pale shadow of their former self.

Arhin, who is a known critic of Ghana Football Association boss Kwesi Nyantakyi, did not spare the football governing body.

“The FA is not been proactive in the running of football in the country,” he opined. “They should search for sponsorship for clubs as pertains elsewhere especially in South Africa. They should stop being armchair administrators, by choosing to over concentrate on the Black Stars much to the detriment of club football in the country.”

Arhin served notice he will return to mainstream football administration in two years time after having dealt with a few private issues.
