Sakumono Tennis Club to host Nnewi Club of Nigeria

Accra, Sept. 6, GNA – The Sakumono Tennis Club will host their Nigerian counterparts, Nnewi Tennis Club in their first ever international friendly billed from 10-12 September at the Sakumono Tennis court.

Kwame Sefa Kayi, Vice Chairman of the Sakumono Tennis Club said the Nigerians are expected to arrive in Ghana on Friday, September 9 for the two-day tourney which marks the first of a series of international fixtures the Club seeks to organize for its members.

The tourney, according to the ace broadcaster, is aimed at creating a platform of friendship and to also gift the two Clubs an opportunity to test their skills and also provide a varied exposure on the court.

The event, which commences on Saturday, October 10 will parade some of the Club’s finest including Ben Fankah, Franklin Brown, Richard Gyabi, Eric Owusu, Frank Addy, Ken Mpara and Bernard Bortey among others in search of victory.

The competition, which is aimed at improving ties between the two organizations promises to be exciting and tennis fans and spectators are encouraged to come in their numbers to cheer the players on .
