Ex-Ghana defender Sam Johnson has urged the FA to deal ruthlessly with Avram Grant over his ‘bull**it’ comment which has courted wild controversy in the West African nation.
Grant has come under fire after he took a dig targeted at local journalists over their constant criticism of the national team.
He called on journalists to focus on the game rather than engaged in ‘bull**it’ - a comment which has irked several Ghanaian fans.
The former Ghana international has asked the FA to sanction the former Chelsea boss over the unsavory comment.
"Avram Grant's comments were unfortunate. We've called on his employers to bring him to order for such comments, but are they part of his contract? No!," the former Anderlecht midfielder told Joy FM.
"But if there's anything in his contract he is not doing, the FA have every right to sack him, because what he is doing, going to his country and staying for three months and he is still getting paid, the FA have every right to punish him.
"And if he[Grant] is criticized by Ghanaians and he gets angry to react and say certain things, he should be called to book. The FA should tell Ghanaians something by Wednesday."
