Italian side Sampdoria have joined the race to submit a bid to lure Marseille winger Andre Ayew.
The Ghanaian international's contract with the Ligue 1 club is set to run out at the end of season, and with no new deal in sight, Ayew is likely to be snapped by another European outfit.
Italian website Calciomercato claims that Sampdoria have looked to steal a march on Italian rivals AS Roma and Inter Milan for the midfielder's signature by meeting with Ayew personally to try to seal the move.
It is thought that Martinez is keen to add wide options to his squad, with Kevin Mirallas apparently heading for a summer exit, while injury-prone Steven Pienaar has struggled to recapture his best form for the Toffees.
However, Ayew's reported £3m-a-year contract demands could hinder Everton hopes of signing the player, who is also attracting interest from Tottenham and Newcastle.
