Sampson Cudjoe in Germany after Celtic trial

Young Ghana midfielder Sampson Cudjoe is reportedly undergoing a two-week trial with German side Hoffenheim after Celtic failed to reach an agreement with the player's club.

The 20-year-old currently plays on loan at Finnish side FC Honka from Kessben in the Ghanaian Premier League and is considered to be one of his country's hottest young prospects.

Reports last month claimed Celtic had handed the Cudjoe a week-long trial and there were whispers of a £400,000 move, but an agreement couldn't be reached.

Cudjoe was quoted by the website as saying: "I have arrived in Germany and even though the first team of Hoffenheim are on tour I will train with the second side before they arrive.

"I know that Celtic want me to come but I have to wait for orders from my club in Ghana on what to do next. Thats all beyond me."

The player was apparently recommended to Hoffenheim by his cousin Isaac Vorsah, who currently plays for the Bundesliga side. Hoffenheim were promoted to the German top side last season and it's probably fair to say they are not on the same level as Celtic.
