Black Stars Coach Avram Grant is likely to throw in young attacker Samuel Tetteh in the team’s quarterfinal game against DR Congo.

Reports from the team’s camp indicate Tetteh could replace injured captain Asamoah Gyan who remains a doubt for the game after sustaining an injury.

Tetteh was handed his first start and debut appearance at the Africa Cup of Nations after featuring in Ghana’s 0-1 defeat to Egypt.

Avram Grant is said to be preparing the Leifering attacker to replace Ghana’s record goal scorer (Gyan).

The 21-year-old could be paired upfront with Jordan Ayew in the crucial encounter on Sunday.

The former WAFA attacker has been described as one of the great prospects in the Black Stars team having made his debut a year ago.
