Communications Director of the Ghana Football Association (GFA), Ibrahim Sannie Daara, has been implicated in Anas Aremeyaw Anas’ explosive exposé. The former BBC journalist was bribed to influence the selection of former Hearts of Oak attacker Thomas Abbey into the national team.

Thousands of Ghanaians trooped to the Accra International Conference Center as the investigative journalist premiered his latest piece.

The exposé captured 77 Ghanaian referees and 14 top GFA officials for engaging in various acts of corruption. Sannie was caught on tape ordering an aide to receive a bribe of GHC4,000 from Anas and his Tiger Eye PI team. The GFA spokespersons has been one of the staunch defenders of the Association whenever there is an allegation of corruption.

However, upon being put to the test by Anas and his team, Sannie could not resist being bribed and took the money through his aide. Anas’ latest expose titled “Number 12” was premiered yesterday (Wednesday) and will again be showed at the International Conference Centre today (Thursday).
