Ghana FA Spokesperson, Ibrahim Sannie Darra has revealed that Avram Grant cannot recall winger Sulley Muntari to the Black Stars until the AC Milan winger issues a public apology for his misconduct at the 2014 World Cup.
Most fans were expecting Grant to recall Muntari, a player he worked with at Portsmouth, to the Black Stars even without an apology after the Israeli trainer visited the 30-year-old in Milan, Italy.
The 30-year-old has not played for the Black Stars since he was handed an indefinite suspension by the Ghana FA for assaulting management committee member of the senior national team, Moses Armah, before the final group match at the Brazil 2014 against Portugal.
“If Sulley wants to play for the Black Stars, there are modalities he must folllow. The rule has been set and even Grant knows this, so he won’t return until he apologizes,” Sannie Darra told GTV.
