Former Kotoko player, Sarfo Gyamfi, has rubbished claims that some past management members are behind the club’s poor run.

Speculations making the rounds in Kumasi indicate that some past management members of Kotoko are paying losing bonuses to the players.

The rumours also say these so-called past Kotoko management members want Opoku Nti’s administration to fail at all cost.

Reacting to the story, Sarfo Gyamfi stated that there is no iota of truth in the rumour.

“Nobody is paying losing bonuses to the Kotoko players to play it soft against their opponents in the league,” he said on Oten fm.

Known in football circles as ‘the Black President,’ Sarfo Gyamfi attributed Kotoko’s poor form to spiritual reasons.

He described Kotoko as a traditional club backed by a lot of spirits, hence the need for the club’s spiritual direction to be improved.

Sarfo Gyamfi, therefore, implored the Kotoko management to always make sure the club’s spiritual matters are given proper attention to halt the poor run.
