Satellites goalie claims Ajax approach

Eric Ofori Antwi, the Ghana U-20 male team first choice goalkeeper says he has been approached by Ajax Cape Town FC of South Africa.

The Amidaus Professionals goalie who was surprisingly given the nod ahead of Asante Kotoko’s Felix Annan and Michael Sai at the Africa Youth Championship and pulled up superb performances for Ghana has confirmed representatives of the South African club approached him at the tournament.

Speaking to Boss FM, the goalkeeper who has a year left on his three-year deal with Amidaus Professionals confirms that, it is true he “was approached during the AYC in Algeria and directed them to management of Amidaus. I have a year left at Amidaus but if they permit me to join Ajax, I will gladly accept the move without hesitation. Opportunity comes but once so I will not drag my feet since I don’t know what the future holds. However, I will only move if the deal is right.”

Ofori Antwi also notes he is aware of the expectation of Ghanaians from the team as they prepare for the World U-20 Cup in June.
