Satellites hold Hearts

Accra, Oct. 12, GNA - The National Under-21 Team, the Black Satellites, on Wednesday, were held to one all draw game in a friendly match against Accra Hearts Oak at the Ohene Djan Sports Stadium in Accra.

The match, which was to prepare the two sides for their respective assignments saw the Satellites scoring first through Prince Tagoe seven minutes into the second half after they had dominated play in the half. Hearts got the equaliser ten minutes to full time when substitute Lawrence Adjei coolly headed home a free-kick by Amankwah Mireku, which was flicked on his path by Joe Louis.

The game however, ended prematurely as a result of poor visibility. The Satellites, are scheduled to participate in a West Africa Football Union (WAFU) Soccer Tournament in Abuja, Nigeria next week.

The Tournament is in commemoration of the Economic Community of West African States's (ECOWAS), celebration of 30 years of existence. Hearts, in addition, used the match to shape up for the resumption of the GT Premiership next week.
