Ghanaian forward Christopher Antwi-Adjei has joined German club FC Schalke 04 on a two-year deal.

The 30-year-old joins the Bundesliga 2 side on a free transfer after leaving VfL Bochum this summer.

Antwi-Adjei is excited to contribute his experience and quality to the team.

He said that the club's management team convinced him that he could help them, and that's exactly what he wanted to do.

Sporting director Marc Wilmots is happy with the signing, believing Antwi-Adjei's playing style and personality are a good fit for the team.

His pace and agility will provide Schalke with more options in their game, and his experience will be valuable on and off the pitch.

The experienced forward made 86 appearances for Bochum across three seasons. He scored six goals and provided 14 assists during the period, having joined from SC Paderborn.

Antwi-Adjei has played for Ghana's senior national team, the Black Stars, on three occasions.
