Black Stars and Leicester City left-back Jeffery Schlupp could be out for six weeks with a hamstring injury according to manager Claudio Ranieri.

The 22-year-old is currently struggling with a hamstring problem and did not feature against Chelsea on Monday.

Manager Claudio Ranieri has now confirmed the Ghana international could be out for over a month.

But there is good news for the Foxes as midfielder Danny Drinkwater, who limped off against Chelsea, could be back in a week.

“Schlupp is a little more serious,” said Ranieri.

“I don’t know how long it takes – six weeks, maybe one month,” Claudio said in a new conference.

Jeffery has been on the sideline for close to four weeks after returning from national team assignment with the Black Stars in the Afcon 2018 qualifier against Comoros in Kumasi.

Jeffery was the player of the match in that game after coming from the bench.
