Leicester City’s utility player Jeffrey Schlupp is set to start as left-back for Ghana in Tuesday’s friendly against Canada after Baba Rahman failed to make the trip to Washington,DC.

Schlupp,22, has started the season in swashbuckling form and has a goal and an assist to his credit in 8 league games.

He has been one of the key performers for Claudio Ranieri’s side who in 5th position in the English Premier League with 15 points, their only dropped points coming against Arsenal in 5-2 defeat.

Schlupp has never had a crack for a starting role in the Ghana squad because of Rahman’s efficacy and efficiency.

Ghana’s match will be played at the RFK Stadium.
