The Ghana Football Association has announced that former Real Madrid coach Bernd Schuster has replaced Patrick Kluivert in the five-man shortlist for the Black Stars coaching position.
Kluivert, assistant coach for Holland at the 2014 FIFA World Cup, confirmed last week he was not interested in attending an interview on Friday.
His agent Rob Jasen said the ex-Holland striker was interested in coaching a club side not a national team.
Michel Pont, Marco Tardelli, Avram Grant and Juan Ignacio Jimenez are the rest on the list.
Former Swiss coach Pont and Watford manager Tardelli will arrive in Accra on 17 October for an interview.
Spaniard Jiminenz and former Chelsea manager Grant will have their turn the next day.
Meanwhile, Ricardo Gareca is on standby in the event one or some of the above listed are not readily available.
The Ghana FA has been in search of a world-class coach after Kwesi Appiah was sacked last month.
