Players and officials of the Black Stars visited the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital following their 4-3 victory over the Central African Republic at the Baba Yara Stadium on Monday, June 10, 2024.
The players exchanged pleasantries with some patients and hospital staff who were delighted by their visit.
Led by the Ghana Football Association president, Kurt Okraku, the team donated an undisclosed amount to support the 'Heal Komfo Anokye Project' which is the brainchild of the Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu.
Ghana continued their 24-year unbeaten streak in Kumasi with a 4-3 victory over the CAR in the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers.
Jordan Ayew scored a hat-trick, with Fatawu Issahaku adding another in the memorable win.
Ghana now leads Group I with 9 points. Madagascar is second with 7 points, followed by Comoros with 6 points.
Mali occupies 4th place with 5 points, the Central African Republic sits 5th with 4 points, while Chad is at the bottom with zero points.
