The TnA Sports Stadium, constructed by Ghana Premier League side Medeama Sporting Club in Tarkwa, is set to be commissioned today, August 16, 2024.

This stadium, located in Tarkwa, has a seating capacity of 10,400.

Funded by the Goldfields Foundation at a cost of US$13 million, the stadium is set to become the new home for Medeama SC.

A video shared by CitiSports on X showcases the stadium's features, including roofing over all sections, VIP seating, ample spectator seating, dressing rooms for teams and match officials, a media stand, ticket booths, an emergency medical room, and an electronic advertising board.

The pitch is surrounded by a perimeter wall and an inner perimeter fence, equipped with floodlights for evening matches, and supported by a standby generator, among other essential facilities.

Prominent figures in the sporting community, including officials from the Ghana Football Association (GFA) and legendary Ghanaian players, are expected to attend the commissioning.

Social media users have praised the Medeama authorities for constructing such an impressive facility.

Others have urged the team management to implement good maintenance measures to prevent the facility from deteriorating like other sports complexes in the country.
