Black Stars forward, Jordan Ayew, continues to receive plaudits for his performance against the Central African Republic, with veteran broadcaster, Kwami Sefa Kayi; New Patriotic Party stalwart, Nana Akomea; and former General Secretary of the Peoples National Convention (PNC), Atik Mohammed, being the latest to join the bandwagon.

On the Tuesday, June 11, edition of Kokrokoo on Peace FM, the aforementioned trio agreed that Jordan Ayew was outstanding and deserved special commendation for his hat-trick.

Nana Akomea, commenting on the game played on Monday, June 10, 2024, praised the forward line of the Black Stars and singled out Jordan Ayew for praise.

"We must commend the team for their performance. They have won two matches in a row, which is commendable. Our main problem now is the defence. The forwards did their job by scoring four..."

Sefa Kayi interjected with a tone depicting praise for Jordan Ayew, stating, "Jordan scored three," which drew a comment from Atik Mohammed who said, "We need to single him out for special mention. He was phenomenal."

Nana Akomea then continued, "The forwards are doing their job, but the defence is shirking responsibility. The defence allowed three goals. The defence let us down at the AFCON."

Jordan Ayew scored his second hat-trick for Ghana against the Central African Republic, netting a penalty, a header, and a tap-in to complete a memorable 100th appearance for Ghana.

By virtue of Jordan Ayew's hat-trick and Fatawu Issahaku's goal, the Black Stars have moved from fourth to second in Group I of the 2026 World Cup qualifiers, with nine points from four games.

Second-placed Ghana has the same number of points as first-placed Comoros, whose top position is facilitated by a superior goal difference.
