Ghanaian undefeated middleweight boxer Sena Agbeko suffered his first lose in the United States of America (USA) to Texan Raymond Gatica on Friday February 28, 2014.
The fight which took place in Hammond, Indiana saw Agbeko who is also a journalist, not qualifying to the semi final in a middleweight contest.
He was overwhelmed in the third round before going down in 66 seconds of the fourth round to bring his fight record to one defeat in 15 fights which he had won all by way of knock outs.
Gatica also improved his record to 14 wins and two loses with six knock outs.
The fight which was shown live on SuperSports exposed the Ghanaian, a former jududoka to the realities of boxing in the United States of America, the home of boxing.
He has however not relented, but rather taken the defeat as a lesson and made up his mind to train harder than ever to win the rest of his fights.
Ghanaian boxers have in recent times lost their fights outside and it is about time they prepare adequately before moving out.
