Accra, Aug.30, GNA - The 17th Annual Ghana Golf Association (GGA) Seniors' Open Championship tees off at the Akim Tafo Golf Course in the Eastern Region from Saturday, September 3 to Sunday, September 4. Professor Michael Ben-George, President of the GGA who announced this in Accra on Tuesday said the two-day 36-Hole Scratch competition is open to senior golfers throughout the country and is being sponsored by Goil Ghana Limited.
He said more than 100 golfers are expected to participate in the event, which would be played under the World's Golf governing body's rules and the local rules of the Tafo Golf Club. Some of the notable golfers expected to be seen in action include Michel Ezan, immediate Past President of the GGA, Kwame Saarah-Mensah, Captain of the Achimota Golf Club and Felix Owusu-Adjapong, President of the Tema Country Golf Club. Officials from the Ministry of Education and Sports as well as Goil Ghana Limited are expected to grace the occasion.
