Ghanaian midfielder Shadrach Eghan has joined Norwegian top-flight side Stabaek on loan from Dutch club Twente, GHANAsoccernet.com can exclusively reveal.

The 21-year-old attacking midfielder joins the club on loan until 1 August.

Eghan played last season 41 games for Twente and scored six times.

He is contracted to the Dutch Eredivisie side till February next year but he cannot be guaranteed playing time.

The Royal Dutch Football Association has refused to renew his work permit which expires this month because his signing from Swedish side Malmo FF in 2013 has been described as a fraudulent transfer.

FC Twente can only secure another work permit for his if his current contract is terminated and re-sign him as a non-EU player and pay him at least a salary of 396,000 euros which they cannot afford.
