Shai Hills Charity Golf on Feb. 21

The second Shai Hills Charity Open Golf Championship will tee-off at the Celebrity Golf Course at Sakumono, on Saturday, February 21.

About 72 golfers nationwide are expected to participate in the competition which is being organized by Celebrity Golf Club in collaboration with Leadership for Conservation in Africa-Ghana (LCA).

Donald Dadah, Assistant Country Director of the (LCA) said the one-day event which is being sponsored by KEK Insurance Group with support from CAL Bank, Gold Fields Ghana, Allure spa and Ghana Massage, was in aid of Shai Hills Resource Reserve.

He said the competition which will be played in the Four-Ball American Scramble format has very attractive prizes.

Frank Akwasi Poku, Captain of the Celebrity Golf Club will lead his team which would include Emile Short, Joe Ohemeng and Abdul Aziz-Amankwah.

Noel Hammond will also lead the team Tema which would include Alex Fiagomey, Paul Owusu-Baah, Paul Nukunu Esther Antwi and Florence Etwi-Barimah.

The LCA was established in collaboration with the Ministry of Lands and Forestry with support from Gold Fields Ghana in May 2008, to see to the development and conservation of the Shai Hills Resource Reserve.
