Siasia in boisterous mood to face Meteors

Heavy artillery lands for Siasia

The Under-23 team's preparation for the the 2008 Olympic qualifier against Ghana received a major shot in that arm with the arrival of top foreign-based talent led by skipper Isaac Promise and coach Samson Siasia was in a boisterous mood.

"I am happy with the arrival of the Europe-based players, although we don't have sufficient time left for training," Siasia told Jerrysonfm on Monday. "But I believe the boys will adjust having been together before."

He confirmed all the invited Europe based players that have arrived camp.

"Bazuaye Daddy arrived camp first before Solomon Okoronkwo, Kenedy Chinwo, Solomon David Abwo and Dele Adeleye joined the rest in Abuja. Captain of the team, Promise Isaac has arrived. Promise told me that he couldn't get a flight on Sunday otherwise, he would have been here earlier."

The former Eagles striker disclosed that a few more overseas players should be in by Tuesday.

"Apam Onyekachi and Kelvin Amunike will arrive Nigeria on Tuesday while Obinna Nsofor who played the last league match for his club, Chievo Verona of Italy at the weekend and Chinedu Ogbuke who did same for Lyn Oslo have called to tell me that they will arrive Nigeria on Wednesday," Siasia told Jerrysonfm

Siasia's assistant Henry Nwosu added, "Tell Nigerians that we won't fail them on Sunday. They should just pray for us to hit the right form on that day. I am confident of a good result against Ghana. I believe Ghana will fall on Sunday by the grace of God," Nwosu assured.
