Ghanaian players abroad had a busy summer during the transfer period, with many clubs showing interest in signing Ghanaian talents.

It was a summer for the books as many Ghanaian players secured transfers to notable clubs to begin a new challenge.

The most common destination for the players in this window was England, where about seven Ghanaian players will be playing in the Premier League, with a significant number of them playing in the Championship.

With the summer transfers officially over, GhanaWeb has put together a list of Ghanaian players who earned relatively big moves over the past month.

Forson Amankwah - Norwich City

Former WAFA midfielder Forson Amankwah joined English Championship side Norwich City from RB Salzburg.

The 21-year-old penned a four-year contract with the option of an additional year.

Fatawu Issahaku - Leicester City

Abdul Fatawu Issahaku completed a permanent move to Leicester City after an impressive season-long loan spell.

The Foxes triggered the buy-option in his contract, signing the Ghanaian prodigy for an undisclosed fee from Sporting Lisbon.

Fatawu signed a five-year deal with Leicester, which will run until June 2029.

Jordan Ayew, Leicester City

Black Stars forward Jordan Ayew departed Crystal Palace after six years, following a move to Leicester City.

The striker signed a two-year deal with the Foxes. Leicester paid £8 million as a transfer fee, including add-ons for the Ghanaian.

Osman Ibrahim, Feyenoord

Black Stars winger Osman Ibrahim earned a loan move to Eredivisie giants Feyenoord from Brighton and Hove Albion.

Brighton signed the 19-year-old from Nordsjaelland in January 2024, but he was made to join the English side this summer. He was then loaned out following a pre-season with the Seagulls.

David Oduro - Barcelona

Ghanaian defender David Oduro has completed his move to Barcelona from Ghana Premier League side Accra Lions for an undisclosed fee.

The left-back will join Barcelona's B team to continue his development and push for a promotion to the first team.

According to a statement released by Barcelona, Oduro will pen a three-year deal that will run until June 2027.

Afena-Gyan - Juventus

Black Stars striker Felix Afena-Gyan completed a loan move to Juventus' reserves side on deadline day after struggling at Serie B side Cremonese.

He will be hoping to make his move permanent and work his way up to the Juventus first team.
