Slovenia concedes before the match?

....Sorry for tomorrow, says Zahovic

LJUBLJANA, -- Slovenia midfielder Zlatko Zahovic has apologised for the team's performance in the World Cup warm-up match against Ghana - on the day before the match.

'We have to apologise in advance to our fans for our performance on Friday against Ghana for we are still tired and not in top shape,' the Benfica player told Slovenian daily Delo on Thursday.

'But they can count on us being much, much better against Spain.'

The 31-year-old, who is Slovenia's top scorer with 31 goals in the 63 internationals, added: 'Of course, I'm not saying that we will lose.'

The friendly against Ghana takes place the eve of the Slovenia squad's departure to Japan, where coach Srecko Katanec will continue his preparations before moving on to South Korea, where they face the Spaniards, South Africa and Paraguay in Group B.

'Our moment will come against Spain, they own us one from the Euro,' Zahovic said referring to the 2-1 defeat at the European Championships in 2000.
