Sochaux unveil Ghana winger Yartey

Ghana winger Ishmael Yartey has completed his move to French Ligue 1 side FC Sochaux Montbéliard, MTNFootball.com can exclusively reveal.

He was presented to Les Lionceaux fans at the Stade Auguste Bonal at a colourful press conference on Monday.

"I'm delighted with the atmosphere. It is a great club with a great tradition and players," Yartey told MTNFootball.com in an exclusive interview.

"I have aimed at many great things at this club and I'm gearing up to work right away."

The 22-year-old signed a four-year-deal worth US$5 million from Portuguese giants SL Benfica after agreeing personal terms and passing medical last Friday.

Sochaux beat Swiss Super League side FC Sion, German side Borussia Monchengladbach and Ligue 1 sides Olympique Marseille and Lille to acquire the talented winger.

Yartey has been signed as replacement for Mali international Modibo Maïga who has joined West Ham United.

The 2007 Ghana Under-17 star will wear the number 15 jersey which was left by Maïga.
