Former Vice President of the Ghana Football Association George Afriyie blamed his sacking on certain personalities within the football fraternity who have been snitching on him to GFA president Kwesi Nyantakyi.

The Executive Committee of the GFA on Tuesday, 17th August 2018, relieved George Afriyie of his duties as the vice president of the association.

The announcement which came via Twitter, however, failed to stipulate reasons for the decision but George Afriyie believes he was kicked out because certain figures within the football family have been feeding Nyantakyi with wrong information about him.

According to him, those personalities who claim to be loyalists of Kwesi Nyantakyi do so to get money from the FA president to buy alcoholic drinks and cigarette.

" He (Kwesi Nyantakyi) should not allow some people to push him. When I took the pain to talk to club owners, the kind of things I heard, I was shocked," he told Asempa FM

"The people who come to him now; and I'm saying this. When I hear the word loyalty, loyalty, then I ask myself who is a loyal person? The man who is ready to do anything for you? or the man who comes to radio and go and take the money and take 'jot' (cigarettes) and beer, is he the loyal one? he quizzed

"I will not come on the radio to support Kwesi Nyantakyi and go to his office to make money. I am not one of those.

"I have been supporting the president with my money, my life an everything. I will be the last person.
