Southend United have shown interest in Crystal Palace player, Kwesi Appiah.
The striker who impressed while on loan at AFC Wimbledon last season is wanted on a season long-loan deal by The Seasiders.
Palace coach, Tony Pulis wants to see Appiah in pre-season, but there is every chance he will leave as he eyes more playing time.
"There are two or three other clubs in for Kwesi as well but Southend feel as though they are in front at the moment," a source close to the club has been quoted by UK tabloid, Echo.
"Crystal Palace have decided that they want Kwesi to do pre-season training with them for three or four weeks which Southend aren't really too happy about."
