Ghanaian defender Emmanuel Adjei Sowah says he is aware of an interest from German Bundesliga side RB Leipzig, and believes it is an indication he is on the right path in his career.

The 19-year-old joined Anderlecht in 2016 in a three-year deal from Ghana Division One League side Dreams FC, and has risen on the shopping in the Belgian Pro League after helping his side to clinch the title last season.

"I must say that Bundesliga is one of best leagues in the world with lots of quality players. To be chased by a club from there is a plus for me, as it shows that people are monitoring my progress,’’ Sowah told FMG.

''The just ended season at Anderlecht has been good for me. I was able to make 14 senior team appearances and that has boosted my confidence. It also means that I can do more in the subsequent seasons," he added.

Goal understand that Leipzig coach Ralf Rangnick has previously watched the youngster and could offer him a lucrative deal as they prepare to participate in their maiden Uefa Champions League next season after finishing second behind Bayern Munich in the Bundesliga.

Sowah is the younger brother of TP Mazembe and former Asante Kotoko midfielder Daniel Nii Adjei.
