Elmina Sharks recorded their first victory in the ongoing GFA Normalization Committee Special Cup following their slim home win over Hearts of Oak on Wednesday.
The Sharks lads inflicted a 1-0 defeat on Accra Hearts of Oak in the match-day two of the competition at the Nduom Sports Stadium.
The first half looked very balanced as both teams failed to score with the set-pieces and chances created as it ended in a scoreless draw.
Back from the break, Coach Yaw Acheampong's side managed to utilized their chances as they scored in the dying embers of the game.
Hearts could have opened the score through Kojo Obeng on the 78th minute but his strike went wide.
Winger Benjamin Tweneboah continued tormenting the back line of the visitors as his effort earned them the only goal.
Felix Addo netted the only goal for Elmina Sharks on the 84th minute to hand his side their first win in the competition.
The match ended in a 1-0 win in favor of Elmina Sharks as they continued their unbeaten run in the GFA Normalization Committee Special Cup.
