Reigning Accra Basketball League (ABL) Men's Division 1 champions, Spintex Knights, have been handed a major boost ahead of their participation in the Basketball Africa League.

On Thursday, October 3, 2024, Spintex Knights received a donation from leading electronics distributor, Electroland Ghana, to aid their Africa campaign, which will be held in Libya.

The donation includes twelve 50-inch NASCO televisions and eight audio systems.

Speaking at the presentation of the items, Dr. Eric Opoku-Antwi expressed his and the team's appreciation to Electroland.

He stated that the donation will come as a timely boost for their preparations and that the players are determined to fly the flag of Ghana high in the tournament.

The National Sales Manager at Electroland Ghana Limited, Vincent Azan-Gbiok, expressed the hope that the donation will empower the team to succeed in the tournament.

"We have a history of supporting sports in this country. We have supported the Black Stars and the league, and now we have decided to sponsor basketball too because everyone is focusing on football.

"There is a lot of talent in basketball, and with more investment, teams such as Spintex Knights can bring pride to the nation. We are hopeful they will qualify for the next stage," he added.

"We decided to motivate the players, so we are giving every player a 50-inch TV, along with eight audio systems."
