The Public Relations Officer of the Ministry of Youth and Sports Ottor Plaha has rubbished reports that his outfit arranged a meeting with the Ghana Football Association which the FA declined attending.

Reports in the local media has it that the Ministry arranged a meeting with the Ghana FA but the latter declined attending the meeting rendering the effort of the Minister to meet the federation useless.

But the spokesperson of the Ministry says nothing of that nature happened insisting no attempt of that nature has been made.

“The Ministry never arranged any meeting with the GFA and we are not arranging anything like that,” he told GHANAsoccernet.com

“It is rather Nana Fitz, a football Administrator, who is trying to arrange a meeting for the two bodies.

“But our outfit has not done anything like that,” he added.

“Nana Fitz says the relationship between the two bodies isn’t the best and he is trying to bring the two together to harmonize and move forward.

“So it is not the ministry. That story of the Ministry arranging a meeting with the GFA is false,” he further noted.

Meanwhile, the Minister of Youth and Sports Nii Lante Vanderpuye had earlier said his outfit had arranged a meeting with the FA.

“We’ve even requested for a meeting which will possibly come off on Monday. My personal assistant and secretary has indicated that to me,” Nii Lante said on Joy FM.
